More than 300 people plan to attend the MPLS Forum 2000 scheduled to take
place on March 7 to 10 in Paris. The quality of the program and prominence
of the participants have made this Forum THE rendezvous for specialists in
this technology.
With the challenges and uncertainties engendered by the development of MPLS
architectures, the MPLS Forum is, in essence, an open platform for debate on
the future of telecommunications networks.
The Traffic Engineering, VPNs, QoS, Fast Restoration and ATM Transport
sessions will allow the audience to gain invaluable and detailed insight on
the most current and talked about themes today.
Each session opens with an introduction. From there operators and vendors
will discuss their most recent technical developments (e.g., two vendors
like Juniper and Cisco will expose their divergent notions on VPN
management). In this way, the Forum plays the role of facilitator for
exchanging different viewpoints and offers an factual outlook on the
evolution of the MPLS protocol.
The organizers have gone out of their way to prevent the Forum from becoming
a backdrop for marketing discourses. In this optic, a scientific committee
has selected the most appropriate and interesting proposals submitted from a
call for papers. Upper Side would like to thank the members of this
committee for their precious collaboration in drawing up the program.
50% Reduction for Members of the Research World
Upper Side is making a special effort to recruit members from the scientific
community. Fifty half-priced entry passes have been set aside for delegates
from the academic world (for more info and to register, click here).
In addition, an area will be made available for researchers wishing to post
the results of their work. All such exhibitors may attend the conferences at
no charge. A committee will select the most pertinent work.
Kindly submit your presentation proposal by e-mail to:
mplsforum@upperside.fr before January 31, 2000
Lastly, Upper Side is pleased to announce that this year an exhibition hall
has been added to the program to allow venders to present their solutions.
The aim of the exhibition is to supplement the essentially technical and
visionary character of the Forum with information of a more commercial
nature.
