CALL FOR PAPERS

IEEE Communications Society will hold the 2nd IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking
Conference (WCNC) in Chicago, IL 23-28 September 2000. WCNC 2000 is held in conjunction with
PCIA's Personal Communications Showcase 2000 (PCS 2000), 26-29 September 2000. IEEE
WCNC is one of the world's foremost international technical conferences for engineers and
researchers at the forefront of development and deployment of digital cellular, PCS and the full
spectrum of supporting wireless technologies.

Paper Submissions
Authors are invited to submit papers describing original research results, innovative applications, and
experimental or field test results on all aspects of wireless communications and networking. Each
submission should consist of a 1000 word summary, a 100 word abstract, and a cover page listing the
name, affiliation, complete return address, telephone, e-mail, and facsimile information for the
corresponding author.

Summaries should be submitted electronically (MS Word, rtf, pdf, postscript or ASCII) to

Panel Sessions & Tutorials
The organizers of WCNC 2000 are accepting proposals for Tutorials and Panel Sessions. Tutorials are
half-day or full-day sessions that are intended to provide in-depth learning on a specific topic of
interest to the participants.

Panel Sessions are 90 minutes long. They present leaders in a particular area discussing a topic of
interest to the attendees of WCNC 2000. There is usually significant audience participation in Panel
sessions.

Proposals for Tutorials and Panel Sessions should consist of a 250 word summary, a 100 word
abstract, and a cover page listing the name, affiliation, complete return address, telephone, e-mail, and
facsimile information for the proposer. Summaries should be submitted electronically (MS Word, rtf,
pdf, postscript or ASCII) by February 15, 2000 to wcncproposals@comsoc.org.

For questions on tutorials: h.suthon@ieee.org

Notification of acceptance will be by March 1, 2000.
