Cellular Internet: The Micro-Mobility Approach
The micro-mobility concept is the most recent and promising approach
proposed to add mobility to the Internet and packet data services to third
generation cellular systems.
Three main propositions have arisen around the micro-mobility domain: IP
Cellular, Hawai and HMIP.
All start from the same assumption: Mobile IP represents a simple and
scalable global mobility solution but lacks support for fast hand-off
control and real time location tracking. On the other hand, third generation
cellular systems offer seamless mobility support but are built on complex
and costly connection-oriented technologies. Conversely the micro-mobility
approaches respects the inherent flexibility, robustness and scalability of
IP networks.
The Cellular Based IP Networks Conference, to take place in Paris on May 23
to 26, will convene the most eminent specialists in these emerging
technologies. Most of them work in the research world. However large
companies as well as service providers will also be on hand to explain their
own approach.

SPONSORSHIP AND EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES
Sponsoring enables a company to link its image to the promotion of the
event. Sponsors get their logo printed on brochures and advertising inserts
and are given room on the Web site.
A sponsor is automatically given three free invitations to the conferences.
Cost: USD 6,500
The exhibition alone enables you to enter into direct contact with visitors.
A pre-equipped 6 m2 stand is available to all exhibitors.
The exhibitor is automatically given two free invitations to the
conferences.
Cost: USD 3,000 (tax not included)
You may be both a sponsor and exhibitor for a total of USD 8,000 (tax not
included)
Other means of participating are possible such as sponsoring the conference
room, meals, cocktails, etc.
