Advanced Call for Papers: RAWCON2000

RAWCON2000 offers an outstanding venue for technical
presentations on wireless communications and radio
technology, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary issues
that affect system architecture and performance. RAWCON
features 70-100 oral and poster presentations and hundreds
of registrants. Your work benefits from RAWCON's high
visibility in the wireless communications industry, its
diverse and interactive audience, and the comprehensive
IEEE Proceedings book. We will again offer significant
registration discounts to presenters.

RAWCON2000 seeks original, practical technical
presentations in:

System Performance including characterization (by
simulation and measurement) of base stations and mobiles,
signal processing, digital modulation design and
characterization, etc..

System and Radio Architecture including broadband wireless
access, third generation wireless communications, wireless
LANs, wireless data systems, PCS, cellular, software radio
architectures, etc.

Antennas and Propagation including smart antennas, antenna
design, propagation modeling, channel characterization,
etc.

Active Devices including linearization, RFIC design and
performance, modeling and simulation, characterization,
technology, MMICs, etc.

Passive Components including integrated passives, filters,
micromachining and MEMS, design, etc.

Interdisciplinary Topics such as smart antennas and system
performance; RF propagation and system performance; system
design tradeoffs to minimize power consumption; interaction
between RF issues and wireless system networking; trends in
digital signal processing and their effects on RF system
design.

Authors are asked to submit a two-page summary (including
figures) electronically (PDF format strongly preferred) to
the IEEE by March 31, 2000. Details of the submission
process will be available at the web site
(http://rawcon.org). Please indicate your preference for
oral or poster presentation format.

Submissions will be evaluated for originality, significance
of the work, technical soundness, and interest to a wide
audience. Authors will be notified of acceptance by May 26,
2000. Final accepted papers (4 pages in length) must be
received by the IEEE by July 14, 2000 to be included in the
published Proceedings.
