The 8th IEEE International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and
Computer networks (SoftCOM 2000) will be held from October 11-14, 2000
aboard the luxury ship Marko Polo travelling on the route Split (Croatia) -
Rijeka (Croatia) - Trieste (Italy) - Venice (Italy) - Dubrovnik (Croatia).
The aim of the conference is to provide an international forum for experts
to promote, share and discuss various issues and developments in the broad
field of telecommunication and computer networks. We thus seek and solicit
your contributions in the form of original/unpublished papers, tutorials,
and topics for special sessions/panel discussions. More information on the

CFP

The 8th International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and
Computer Networks (SoftCOM 2000), co-sponsored by the IEEE
Communication Society (COMSOC), will be held aboard the luxury
ship "Marko Polo" traveling on the route Split (Croatia) - Dubrovnik
(Croatia) - Rijeka (Croatia) - Trieste (Italy) - Venice (Italy). Tentative
date is October 11-14, 2000. SoftCOM 2000 provides an open forum
for communication technology researchers and engineers to discuss
new and emerging systems, standards and services, and their
applications in telecommunication and information systems. The
Conference will feature world-known plenary speakers, tutorial
presentations and workshops.

Telecommunications in the
   Alps-Adria Countries 

In addition to general technical topics,
this year, the prospective authors from
the Alps - Adria countries are cordially
invited to submit tutorials or survey
papers on a present state and future
developments of tele- communications
in their countries, regions  or counties.
From the papers presented at SoftCOM
2000, a set of the most representative
papers will be selected for publication in
the August 2001 issue of the IEEE
Communications Magazine.


Complete manuscript to be received by June 1, 2000
Proposals for tutorials and workshops by June 1, 2000
Notification of acceptance mailed out by July 1, 2000
Camera ready manuscript to be received by August 30, 2000
