OFFICIAL CALL FOR PAPERS

COMMUNICATION NETWORKS AND DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS MODELING AND SIMULATION
CONFERENCE

JANUARY 7-11, 2001
Phoenix, Arizona
Crowne Plaza Hotel

The purpose of this conference is to serve as a forum for the exchange
of ideas among researchers from around the world about the design and
performance of computer systems, network architectures, and
communications protocols in parallel and distributed environments.
This conference grew out of the urgent need to understand these
systems as they became more complex.

Original technical papers addressing all aspects of analysis, design,
modeling, and performance evaluation of communication networks and
distributed systems are solicited for presentation at the conference
and publication in the conference proceedings. Topics of interest
   include:

   o Networks Architectures
   o High Speed Networks, ATM
   o Interconnection Networks
   o Wireless Networks
   o Distributed Systems
   o Mobile Computing
   o Multimedia Systems
   o Real-Time Systems o Video-on-Demand Systems
   o Fault-Tolerant Systems
   o Memory Systems
   o Operating Systems
   o File and I/O Systems
   o Distributed Database Systems
   o Web-Based Computing

Authors are requested to submit five copies (in English) of their
manuscripts to the Program Chair. Papers can also be submitted
electronically to simon@cs.gmu.edu or directly deposited by anonymous
   ftp at ftp.cs.gmu.edu:/pub/WMC_Conf/Paper-Deposit. Submitted files
must be in PostScript format with all figures and tables included.
Only papers which have not been previously published or presented
   should be submitted.

Submission deadline is September 20, 2000.
