CALL FOR PAPERS
IASTED International Conference
WIRELESS AND OPTICAL COMMUNICATIONS
(WOC 2001)
June 27-29, 2001
Banff, Canada
SPONSORS
International Association of Science and Technology for Development
(IASTED)
IASTED Technical Committee on Communications
PURPOSE
The International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications
(WOC- 2001), sponsored by IASTED, will be a major forum for
scientists, engineers, and practitioners throughout the world to
present their latest research, results, ideas, developments and
applications in all areas of telecommunications systems with emphasis
on wireless and optical communications. Its aim is to strengthen
relations between the telecommunication industry, research
laboratories, and universities. WOC-2001 will be held at the Banff
Centre for Conferences in Banff, Canada from June 27-29, 2001.
LOCATION
Situated 128 km (80 miles) west of Calgary and just inside Banff
National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Banff features
breathtaking landscapes. Banff National Park is home to a wide variety
of wildlife, and has some 6,641 sq. km of mountains, forests, rivers,
and lakes. Each year, millions of visitors travel to Banff to marvel
at the emerald waters of Lake Louise, walk amongst the flower-filled
fields at Sunshine Meadows, and drive beneath the towering jagged
peaks lining the Icefields Parkway. Snow-capped mountains, glistening
glaciers, and sweeping vistas are part of the allure of Banff National
Park. You can enjoy all the comforts of home in the town of Banff, or
step out into the wilderness to see the habitats of some of North
America's wildest creatures. Banff also has countless restaurants,
galleries, and entertainment options available. If shopping is more
your style, there are many beautiful stores to choose from.
