Theme and Scope The appearance of wireless networks has made possible
accessing to the Internet anytime and anywhere. Wireless
communication has brought a new dimension to the Internet. This JIT
special issue intends to cover all areas of wireless network and
mobile computing at the system and application levels. All link
layers and above will be considered. Authors considering their
contributions to this special issue of JIT are encouraged to select
one or two of the following target areas:

A Conference-to-Journal-Publication Opportunity 
This special issue is co-hosted by the Mobile Computing Workshop
(MC2001), March, 2001, to be held in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan
(http://pd.csie.chu.edu.tw/~mc2001/). This is the seventh annual
series of this workshop, which serves as the premier international
forum addressing networks, systems, algorithms, and applications that
supports mobile computing and wireless networks. Best papers from the
MC2001 workshop will be invited to publish in this special issue.

Submission Process
Authors can consider to submit their papers to the MC2001 workshop,
or directly to this special issue. Papers submitted to the special
issue should contain original materials. Papers should be written in
English in a single-column, double-spaced format, less than or equal
to 25 pages. Electronic submission is required, and should be sent
