This conference is jointly organized by SEE(Société de l'Electricité,
de l'Electronique, et des Technologies del'Information) and University
of Haute-Alsace, with the technicalco-sponsorship of IEEE and EUREL.
It is supported by RNRT (Réseau National deRecherche en
Télécommunications) and sponsored by Alcatel, Cegetel, France Telecom
   and Siemens (other sponsorspending).

   Workshop Theme

   ==============

The goal of the ECUMN conference is to bringtogether researchers from
the academia and practitioners from the industry inorder to address
network and service convergence issues. The conferencewill provide a
forum where the academia shall be able to present up-to-dateresearch
results and the industry describe emerging technologies and
   newresearch problems related to them.

ECUMN'02 is the second edition of the ECUMN conferenceand follows the
first successful ECUMN conference held in Colmar, France in2000. The
conference scope has been extended to deal to put specific emphasison
Service Provisioning, and Service differentiation issues.

Graceful evolution of Networks, new access schemes, flexible protocols,
increased variety of services, hybrid networks reliability, are some of
the present and future challenges that have to be met by thevarious
technologies that will be discussed during the conference.

A competition for the best student paper will beorganized to recognize
and encourage excellence in graduate studies.

The list of topics of interest includes (but is notlimited to):
