Communications Systems, Networks and Digital Signal Processing
15-17th July 2002
Staffordshire University
School of Computing

First Call for Papers

   Over the past few years the pace of technological change in
   communication systems networks and digital signal processing has been
   extremely rapid and these areas are continuing to evolve and converge.
   It is the aim of this International Symposium to bring together
   engineers and scientists to discuss the progress made in both fields
   and provide a focus for future developments. The organising committee
   invites you to submit original papers addressing research topics of
   interest for presentation at the symposium and inclusion in the
   symposium proceedings.

   Technical Subject Categories -
     * Modulation, demodulation and synchronisation
     * Communication theory
     * Modelling and simulation techniques
     * Coding and error control
     * DSP algorithms and applications
     * Adaptive signal processing
     * VLSI for communications and DSP
     * Multiresolution analysis
     * Optical communication systems
     * Wavelet transforms
     * Optical switching and network
     * 3G/4G network evolution
     * Network management and operation
     * Quality of service
     * Mobile communication systems and networks
     * Low rate image transmission
     * Multimedia and broadband services
     * Intelligent systems/networks
     * ATM systems and networks
     * Business process modelling for e-commerce
     * Mobile computing for e-commerce
     * E-infrastructure for enterprise applications
     * Any other related topics

   Papers may be presented in the following forms:

   Oral presentation (15-20 minutes)

   Poster Contributions by MPhil/PhD students are particularly
   encouraged.

Submissions

To submit a paper it is neccessary to undertake the following
guidlines.

Include these details:

  1.The name, full postal address, e-mail, telephone and fax
    numbers of the author for correspondence.
  2.Designation of the most appropriate technical subject
    category for the paper.

Submit the paper by the following deadlines:

    Full Paper due: 25th January 2002
    Notification of acceptance by: 1st April 2002
    Camera ready paper due: 1st June 2002
