Dear Colleagues,

The 11th edition of the IST Mobile & Wireless Telecommunications
Summit 2002 will take place between the 16-19 June 2002 in
Thessaloniki, Greece. The main objective of this annual conference is
to provide a forum for the discussion of the results of the
European and international research initiatives in mobile and personal
communications and other wireless systems including terrestrial and
satellite-related systems and services. 2002 is an important year for
the IST (Information Society Technologies) programme since many
projects will be in their final phase and thus will be in the
position to demonstrate prototypes and application tools. A synergy of
academia, research centers and industry is expected at this conference
and an extended participation of non-EU organizations and institutions
is cordially invited so that global solutions and practices can be
presented and compared.

Please note that the selection of papers for Summit will be based on
draft camera ready papers (of 5 pages). In this respect the important
deadlines relating to the submission of papers are given below:

Draft Camera Ready Submission: February 25, 2002
