SRDS 2002
21st Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems
October 13-16, 2002, Convention Center, Osaka University, Suita, Japan
sponsored by IEEE Computer Society
CALL FOR PAPERS
Objectives
The Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems aims to bring together
researchers and practitioners who are interested in distributed
systems design and development, particularly with reliability,
availability, safety, security, or real-time properties. We welcome
original research papers as well as papers that deal with development
experiences and experimental results of operational systems. We are
also soliciting papers for an experience track that presents on-going
industrial projects, prototype systems, exploratory or emerging
applications, etc.
Topics of Interest
The major areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the
following topics:
* Distributed systems with reliability, availability, security,
safety, and/or real-time requirements
* Distributed databases and transaction processing
* Parallel and distributed operating systems
* Distributed objects and middleware systems
* Internet-based systems and applications
* Mobile and ubiquitous computing
* Grid computing
* Distributed multimedia systems Electronic commerce and enabling
technologies
* Distributed workflow and enterprise management systems
* Security and high confidence systems
* Analytical or experimental evaluations of reliable distributed
systems
* Fault-tolerant distributed algorithms
* Formal methods and foundations for reliable distributed computing
Important Dates
* Submission deadline: April 5, 2002
* Author notification: June 15, 2002
Submission Guideline
All submissions must be written in English and printed using at least
11-point size, and double-spaced. Regular papers may not exceed 20
double-spaced. Each paper should include, on a cover page, the title,
the authors, and their affiliations, the contact author and her/his
email address, an abstract, a list of keywords. Papers should be
submitted electronically to eltefaat.shokri@sun.com
Workshops
The following two workshops will be held on October 13 in conjunction
with SRDS 2002.
* International Workshop on Self-Repairing and Self-Configurable
Distributed Systems
(Workshop Co-Chairs: X. Defago and F. Pedone)
* International Workshop on Reliable Peer-to-Peer Distributed
Systems
(Workshop Chair: A.-M. Kermarrec)
Call-For-Papers for the workshops will be available on this page.
