CALL FOR PAPERS
IEEE CAS Workshop on Wireless Communications and Networking
Power Efficient Wireless Ad Hoc Networks
http://dsp.jpl.nasa.gov/cas/
September 5-6, 2002
Doubletree Hotel
Pasadena, California
Originating in Lucerne, Switzerland in June 1998, this is the fifth in
the series of IEEE CAS Workshops on Emerging Technologies in Circuits
and Systems (http://www.ieee-cas.org/rad-etw.html). In the past, these
workshops have emphasized wireless communications, high speed data over
local loop and cable, 3rd generation mobile technologies and
applications, and ubiquitous wireless communication networks and
appliances. This year, the workshop is being co-sponsored by the Deep
Space Communications and Navigation Systems Center of Excellence
(DESCANSO) at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
The workshop intends to gather experts focused on the devices, system
methodologies and architectures, algorithms, and protocols that will
enable power efficient wireless ad hoc networking. It will run in a
single-session format with a mix of invited talks and papers selected
from abstracts submitted in response to this Call for Papers. Authors
are invited to submit 500-word abstracts on the following and related
topics:
* Low power integrated circuits
* RF integrated circuits
* Energy scavenging (utilizing MEMs or RF devices)
* System architecture for ad hoc networking
* VLSI for wireless communications and networking
* Multilayer software network processor
* Integrated location awareness and wireless communications
* Adaptive signal processing and intelligent algorithms for ad hoc
networks
* Security in wireless ad hoc networks
The 500-word abstracts must be submitted by July 8, 2002. Notification
of acceptance will be sent by July 22, 2002. Papers may be accepted
either for oral or poster presentation. The camera-ready papers for
inclusion in the Workshop Proceedings will be due by September 5, 2002.
The Abstracts and Papers must be submitted in electronic form
(Postscript or PDF). Please see the Workshop website
http://dsp.jpl.nasa.gov/cas/ for the detailed submission procedure.
