Notification: March 10, 2003
DSN, the International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks,
consists of two symposiums, multiple workshops, tutorials, and
special sessions.
The Performance and Dependability Symposium (IPDS) (www.dsn.org/pds.html)
is one of two main DSN symposiums, and aims to bring together academic and
industrial researchers in the areas of performance and dependability for
(1) computer systems and networks and (2) high-performance parallel
computers and broadband communication networks. Relating analytical
techniques to simulations, actual measurements, and experiments will be the
broad theme of the IPDS symposium. Research in the following areas is
especially welcome:
-- techniques and tools for dependability assessment
-- case studies for performance and dependability
-- experimental studies on the impact of tools and processes on
performance and dependability
We invite original papers and other contributions reporting research
and practical results covering all aspects of analytical, simulation,
and measurement techniques for performance and dependability applied
to topic areas that include, but not limited to, the following:
- Software/Hardware Systems
- Real-Time Systems
- Communication Systems
- Distributed Systems
- Parallel and Clustered Systems
- Multiprocessing Systems
- Systems for Fault-tolerance
- Systems for Computer Security
Regular papers, practical experience reports, tool
descriptions/demonstrations, and panel proposals are especially
welcome in the following topics:
- Analytical and Simulation Techniques for Performance and
Dependability Assessment
- Measurement Techniques for Performance and Dependability
Assessment
- Design and Use of Tools for Performance and Dependability
Assessment
- Operational Data for Analysis of Performance and Dependability
- Experimental Studies of the Impact of Tools and Processes on
Performance and Dependability
