        2003 International Workshop on Ultra Wideband Systems (IWUWBS)
                     Oulu, Finland, 2. - 4. June, 2003
                      Ultra Wideband - A New Dimension

                   

   With the increase in importance of Ultra Wideband (UWB) communications
   and to reflect the growing research interest in the area, a new
   workshop series has been organised. The workshops will focus on
   advances in UWB systems as well as providing a forum for reporting
   results from European and International projects involving UWB (e.g.
   ULTRAWAVES, UCAN, WHYLESS.COM).

   The 2003 International Workshop on Ultra Wideband Systems (IWUWBS) will
   be held at the University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland, from Monday, 2nd
   through Wednesday 4th June, 2003. IWUWBS 2003 will highlight
   performance of existing and future systems, regulatory issues, as well
   as novel applications and implementations of UWB technology.


   Papers are sought in the following areas                   
     Channel measurement and modelling
     Modulation and detection
     Interference and capacity
     Regulatory issues
     Positioning services
     Receiver architectures
     Field trials and measurements
     Positioning
     RADAR
     Ad-hoc networks
     PANs
     RF tags
     Integrated circuits and antennas
                   
   A special session will be organised for contributions from European
   projects in the UWB cluster e.g. ULTRAWAVES, UCAN, WHYLESS.COM. 

   Paper Submissions
   The deadline for submission is 15 January 2003, with notification of
   decisions by 15 March 2003. Camera ready copies must be submitted by
   15 April 2003. All accepted papers will be allowed twenty minutes for
   presentation and be five pages in length for publication in the
   conference proceedings. Information for electronic submission of
