INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMMUNICATION AND
BROADBAND NETWORKING (ICBN)
- ATM Interact Symposium 2003 -

The theme of the International Conference on Communication & Broadband Networking is on communications and
networking technologies that facilitate Access, Move and Storage of network information and content. To achieve this
goal the conference consists of a technical program of previously unpublished papers, tutorials on relevant topics and
an Industry Watch program with invited talks from industry leaders and academia.
The conference is a forum that brings together experts from industry, government and academia who are involved in
the research, design, development, deployment and application of communication and networking technologies. The
conference is intended to cover the entire spectrum of existing and emerging activity in the field of access networks,
high-speed multi service networks, optical networks, storage-area networks the communication and networking
technologies that allow the access, movement and storage of network information and content. The three-day program
will consist of regular technical sessions, tutorials and industry watch session.
TECHNICAL PROGRAM:
TOPICS OF INTEREST:
Papers are invited on topics related to, but not limited to, the following areas:
· Wireless access networks (3G, 4G, GPRS, Wireless LAN, Bluetooth)
· Wireline access networks (DSLAM, PON, Cable, Ethernet over SONET)
· Security (Authentication, Cryptography, Encryption)
· Multiservice Networks
· Switching and Routing
· Optical Networks
· Converged Network Services
· Storage Area Networks
· Content Delivery Services
· Network Management and Billing
Please submit previously unpublished papers electronically (as postscript or pdf files) to the technical program chairs
by January 31, 2003. The manuscript should clearly state the novel ideas, results and applications of the contribution.
Please identify the contact author and include the complete mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone and/or fax
numbers of all authors. Papers should not exceed 15 double-spaced pages including figures and references. Authors
will be notified of acceptance by March 3, 2003. Camera-ready papers should be submitted to the conference
secretariat by March 31, 2003.
TUTORIALS:
This conference will organize three parallel tracks for tutorials on May 5, 2003. The subject of the
tutorials will be on recent topics in communication and networking technologies and in keeping with the theme of the
conference. Topics are open at this time, and speakers are encouraged to submit proposals to Tutorial Chair by
January 31, 2003
INDUSTRY WATCH PROGRAM:
This conference will provide a unique opportunity for industry leaders to present their
perspective and share their views on design, development, deployment and direction of existing and emerging
communication and networking technologies that facilitate access, move and storage of network information and
content. This session will be organized as a set of panels. Those interested in proposing/organizing panels should
submit their proposals in the form of a two-page summary to the industry watch chairs before January 31, 2003.
