FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS
IST2003 is the second in a series of biannual events organized by the
Iran Telecom Research Center (ITRC) and designed to provide
opportunity for academicians and specialists from the international
telecommunication community to meet their peers in Iran and discuss
under the theme Dialogue of Civilizations through Telecommunications
latest developments in emerging technologies, progress in standards,
services and their applications in telecommunication and information
systems. The symposium will feature world-renowned keynote speakers,
contributed papers, panels, special sessions, tutorials and an
exhibition. Also, the event will feature a banquet, concert, visits
and excursion tours to historic sites.

SUBMISSIONS
Paper Proposals:
Authors are requested to submit extended summary (abstract) of
original work by February 1, 2003. All papers should be submitted
electronically in MS Word, PDF or PS format. Arrival of proposals will
be acknowledged by e-mail. Each paper will be subject to review by the
Technical Program Committee and the result will be informed by the
assigned deadline. The final paper submission should be typed
single-spaced in two-column format using Times New Roman font size 10
with 3cm margin on all sides. Length is limited to 4 pages.
Submissions should include: title, author(s), affiliation(s),
abstract, and list of keywords. Identify the author responsible for
correspondence, including the author's name, position, mailing
address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. An accepted
paper must be presented by one of the authors and all presenting
authors must register in the Symposium.
Tutorial Proposals:
Tutorial proposals on subjects describing new developments in systems,
technologies or applications are welcomed. Length should be tailored
for half-day or full-day presentation using power-point or overhead
projector slides. Supplementary handouts or brochures are encouraged.
Exhibition Proposals:
There will be limited exhibition space for exhibitors of latest
innovations in industry or software. Proposals will be evaluated on
the basis of their practicality, relevance and priority.
