INTERNET AND MULTIMEDIA SYSTEMS AND APPLICATIONS - IMSA 2003 -

Special Session on "Wireless Multimedia Networking"
Advances in wireless technologies enable the rapid growth of
fixed and wireless broadband network infrastructures. Technical
innovations in media processing, storage and networking promise
to enable anywhere, anytime media access. This will enable
multimedia solutions across a wide spectrum of commercial,
consumer, and non-profit domains.
The objective of this session is to bring together researchers,
developers, and practitioners contributing to all facets of
multimedia streaming across wireless networks. The session will
serve as a forum for the dissemination of state-of-the-art research,
development, and implementations of networked multimedia systems
and technologies with special emphasis on wireless streaming.
MAJOR THEMES
Papers are solicited in all areas of wireless multimedia networking,
including, but not limited to:
- wireless multimedia
- wireless peer-to-peer media systems
- QoS control and scheduling
- ubiquitous multimedia services
- peer-to-peer multimedia services
- wireless and ad-hoc networked multimedia systems
- Robust and resilient video coding and transport

EXTENDED ABSTRACTS AND PAPER DRAFTS SUBMISSION FORM
Extended abstracts or paper drafts should be sent taking into account the
following:
1. Major theme of the paper, related to the major themes given above.
2. Paper title.
3. Extended abstract of 1000 to 1500 words and/or paper drafts of 2000 to
5000 words, in English.
4. Authors and/or co-authors with names, addresses, telephone and fax
numbers, and e-mail addresses.
We will set up a web-based submission form. Alternatively, you may send
extended abstracts or paper drafts as pdf or postscript files per email
to kassler@informatik.uni-ulm.de.

DEADLINES
April 15, 2003: Submission of extended abstracts (500-1500 words) or
paper drafts (2000-5000 words).
May 15th, 2003: Acceptance notifications.
June 1st, 2003: Submission of camera-ready papers.
June 15st, 2003: Registration deadline.

PAPERS FORMATTING AND REVIEWING
Submitted papers will be reviewed by at least two experts per paper.
Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance, and originality. The
full papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
Accepted papers should not exceed six single-spaced typed pages, two
columns per page. More information on formatting instructions, including
