The Second International Conference on Information Technology and
Applications (ICITA2004) will be hosted in Harbin, China and it will
continually offer an opportunity to facilitate a cross-disciplinary platform
for academics in all IT areas to meet, exchange ideas, establish and extend
professional networks and social gathering.
The First International Conference on Information Technology and
Applications (ICITA2002) in Australia has attracted around 200 delegates
from 91 institutions in 21 countries. For details, please see ICITA2002.
The Technical Programme Committee is calling for papers in areas that
include but are not necessarily limited to IT applications in the following
areas:
Topic 1: IT in Telecommunication and Mobile Communications.
Topic 2: IT in Multimedia, Computer Networking, Database, and Interface.
Topic 3: IT in National Security.
Topic 4: Web Content Generation, Usage and Management. (Chair: Aruna Rohra)
Topic 5: IT in Engineering: AI, Signal/Image Processing; Power & Power
Electronics; Sensors.
Topic 6: IT in Education and Open Learning.
Topic 7: IT in Health and Medical Care.
Topic 8: Security and Hacking.
The Technical Programme Committee is calling for people to create and chair
new topic areas. A new Topic area can be opened if there are more than 4
presentations can be scheduled.
As a guide, the following Topics were added in during ICITA2002:
Track 3: E-commerce.
Track 4: IT in game technology; Project Management & QA in Software
Development.
Track 6: IT in Remote Sensing, GIS, Instrumentation and Biomedical
Engineering.
Track 8: IT in Agriculture Management.
Track 9: Quantum aspects of Information Technology.
Track 10: IT in the Humanities.
Track 11: Engineering Applications of IT - CAD/CAM, CAE, CIM, CNC.
Track 12: IT in Forensic Science.
Track 13: IT and Supercomputing.
Track 15: Side Effect of IT Over-Development: Pit Falls and Possible
Solutions.
Track 16: IT in RF and Semiconductor applications: Solid-State Devices and
Materials, SSDM and CMOS.
Track 17: IT in Natural Language Processing.
Track 19: ICT Education and Curricula.
Track 20: E-Learning - and communications (tele-learning)
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Authors can submit papers in one of the following categories:
(A) Category A: Full paper review + full paper publication.
(B) Category B: Abstract review + full paper publication.
(C) Category C: Abstract review + abstract publication only (This Category
is for busy people who only want to meet conference delegates and gave a
brief talk during the conference).
All papers submitted in 3 categories will be published in the Conference
Proceedings after the peer reviewing process.
Authors are invited to submit:
(1) an electronic soft-copy of the paper/abstract (maximum 6 pages for full
paper/4 pages for abstract) in Adobe PDF format to icita@ieee.org;
(2) a TEXT file which lists: Category number (A/B/C); Preferred topic area;
Paper Title; Authors; Abstract; Title (Dr/Mr/Ms); FirstName; LastName;
email; Country; Paper Title; Authors; Affiliation; PotalAddress; Phone; Fax;
(3) A one-paragraph biography and a one page CV.
DEADLINES: Intending authors should note the following deadlines:
(1) Receipt of full paper/abstract: 30 June 2003
(2) Notification of review result: 30 August 2003
(3) Receipt of final manuscript and registration fee: 30 September 2003
(unregistered papers will not be published)
