   Wideband Signal Processing - Taking Spectrum into the Future

   The  2004  IEEE  International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques
   and Applications will be held at the Fairmont Resort, Leura (about 100
   km  from Sydney), Australia, from Monday, 30 August, through Thursday,
   2  September, 2004. ISSSTA 2004 will highlight theoretical performance
   of  existing  and  future  systems,  as well as novel applications and
   implementations  of spread spectrum technology. MIMO systems and Ultra
   wideband will join the list of topics which will include

     * Performance of SS/CDMA MIMO and multi-sensor systems
     * Ultra wideband (UWB) systems
     * Resource allocation, power control
     * Ad-hoc SS/CDMA networks
     * Performance of SS/CDMA satellite systems
     * 4G system concepts
     * Quantum applications
     * Tools for system analysis
     * Integrated circuit design and implementation
     * Communications using chaos

   Paper Submissions
   The  deadline  for submission is 1 February 2004, with notification of
   decisions  by 1 April 2004. Camera ready copies must be submitted by 1
   June  2004.  All  accepted  papers  will be allowed twenty minutes for
   presentation  and  be  five  pages  in  length  for publication in the
   conference  proceedings.  Information  for  electronic  submission  of

   Conference Location
   The  conference  will  be held at Fairmont Resort, about 2 km from the
   centre  of  Leura,  in  the state of New South Wales. Leura is a small
   town  located  in the Blue Mountains, about 100 km from Sydney airport
   and  can be reached by car on the Great Western highway or by train in
   about 2.5 hours. Alternate accomodation is available in Leura.
