CALL FOR PAPERS
8th IASTED International Conference on
Internet and Multimedia Systems and Applications (IMSA 2004)
August 16 - 18, 2004
Kauai, Hawaii, USA
SPONSORS
International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED)
* Technical Committee on the Web, The Internet, and Multimedia
PURPOSE
The International Conference on Internet and Multimedia Systems and
Applications is a major contact venue for research scientists, engineers,
and practitioners throughout the world to present their latest research,
ideas, developments, and applications in this field. IMSA 2004 will include
keynote addresses, contributed papers, and tutorials on a wide range of
topics. The full papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
Paper acceptance will be based on quality, relevance, and originality.
IMSA 2004 will be held in conjunction with the IASTED International
Conferences on Computer Graphics and Imaging (CGIM 2004), Computers in
Advanced Technology in Education (CATE 2004) and Modeling, Simulation, and
Optimization (MSO 2004).
LOCATION
IMSA 2004 will take place at the Sheraton Kauai Resort. This beautiful
resort hotel is situated on the white sand of Poipu Beach on the sunny,
southern coast of the island. Kauai, known as the "Garden Island", was both
the first of the volcanic Hawaiian islands to be formed, and the first to be
charted by European explorers. The greenest of all the islands, Kauai
remains virtually untouched by commercial development, with most of the
island divided between agriculture and conservation. In addition to
swimming and water sports off the Pacific coast, Kaua'i offers many other
recreational and tourist activities. Among these attractions are Waimea
Canyon - the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific,' Kokee State Park, Na Pali Coast,
and the National Tropical Botanical Gardens. SCOPE This conference covers
