Call for Papers
Within the last years, advances in both network and computer technology have appointed
multimedia communications as a dominant research area for both wired and wireless
networks. On the other hand, internet has proved to be a widely deployed infrastructure
for providing advanced audio-visual services, while the trend for provision of
personalized communications is leading into the introduction of customized, device
independent web enabled services. However, many issues have emerged, regarding realtime
media related mainly with network and device heterogeneity, reliability, scalability
and QoS guarantees. This workshop of Networking 2004 aims at providing a
comprehensive coverage of state of the art and future technologies in the provision and
support of media distribution mechanisms.

Authors are encouraged to submit high quality papers addressing various aspects of
media delivery over Internet. Areas of interest include but are not limited to the following
topics:
  * Streaming video in heterogeneous environments
  * Overlay networks for media distribution
  * P2P network technologies for real time streaming
  * CDN architectures for live media
  * Adaptive video delivery
  * Multi-path streaming
  * Streaming over wireless networks
  * Measuring and providing QoS for streaming media
  * Scalability and performance issues
  * Emerging applications and services in media streaming over the Internet.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER SUBMISSION
The Workshop welcomes original and review papers from academic and industrial
contributors dealing with the above or related issues. All submissions will be subjected to
review by two reviewers. Papers should be up to 6000 words in English, including
