PWC 2004
The Ninth International Conference on Personal Wireless Communications

Sponsored by the IFIP WG 6.8 - Mobile and Wireless Communications
PWC provides an international forum for discussions between
researchers, practitioners and students interested in new
developments in mobile computing and wireless networks. PWC 2004 is
the ninth conference of this series and is sponsored by IFIP WG 6.8,
and will be held in Delft, the Netherlands. The conference will
consist of three days of scientific presentations, and a poster
session presenting on-going projects.
To strengthen the social aspect of the PWC 2004 conference, the Local
Organizing Committee has organized an event which includes a visit to
De Porceleyne Fles, the best known producer of the famous Delftware
pottery. This visit will be followed by a guided boat tour through
the town's picturesque canals and dinner at De Prinsenkelder, an
excellent restaurant in the historical town center.
The social program offers you the possibility to acquaint yourself
with a number of aspects of historical Delft. It will take place on
Wednesday September 22 from 4 p.m. Participation is optional and will
cost EUR 55.
Call for papers

The PWC 2004 technical committee solicits papers describing original,
previously unpublished, completed or on-going research. Topics
include, but are not limited to, the following:

- AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) in Mobile and

Paper Submission and Publication
--------------------------------
PWC 2004 solicits
- regular papers (max. 10 pages) describing completed research,
- short papers (max. 5 pages) describing early results and novel
ideas, and
- a limited number of posters, describing on-going research projects.
Authors must state that their regular or short paper has not been
published elsewhere nor is under review by another conference or
journal. Submission instructions for papers and posters will appear
on the conference web site: http://www.pwc2004.irctr.tudelft.nl/
All papers will be reviewed by the technical program committee
members. Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings
and will be published by Springer Verlag in the LNCS series (
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/ ) . Authors are required to attend
the conference and present their paper.
Regular papers will be considered for the Best Paper Award (EUR 750
cash prize). Papers with a student as primary author will be eligible
for the Best Student Paper Award (EUR 500 cash prize). To be eligible
for an award, the paper must be presented by the primary author. For

Registration
------------
Registration is required to participate in the conference. Early
registration for PWC 2004 closes July 21st 2004. For regular
participants early registration is EUR 400, and late registration is
EUR 500. Student prices are as follows: early registration is EUR
250, after which registration is EUR 300. Registration at the
conference itself is also possible, and costs EUR 550. Further
details on the registration procedure will appear on the PWC 2004
website, when registration opens.
