Overview
========

As modern Internet infrastructure grows in size and complexity,
new challenges and innovative technologies are rapidly reshaping the
networking landscape. IWNDA 2004 aims to provide a forum to discuss
the emerging research directions in modern networking architectures
and to enable researchers and developers in academia and industry to
come together and interact. Original submissions, representing mature
works, works-in-progress, early ideas or position papers, are invited
in all areas relevant to networking architecture research. The topics
of interest include, but are not limited to:

Traffic engineering and MPLS Overlay network infrastructure
IP over optical networks Metro-scale networking
technologies
Network resource allocation Network virtualization
Wireless LANs and mesh networks GPRS and GSM-based access networks
Peer-to-peer networks Sensor networks
Mobility support in wireless networks Trustworthy network infrastructure
Quality-of-Service Route selection, protection and
restoration
Congestion management and avoidance Pricing for network access and
services
