   PURPOSE & SCOPE 

   Purpose 

   Information technology form the basis of an entirely new era in
   professional practice and delivery of services.  The ICENCO conference
   will act as an international forum for researchers and practitioners
   to discuss the major new frontiers in the information technology area,
   and to present cutting edge research in various fields within that
   area. ICENCO 2004 will strengthen relationships between companies,
   research laboratories, and universities. All papers submitted to this
   conference will be peer evaluated by two reviewers. Acceptance will be
   based primarily on originality and contribution.

   ICENCO 2004 will be comprised of the following 4 tracks:

   LOCATION

   ICENCO 2004 will take place at the faculty of engineering, Cairo
   University

   SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
    Submit your  paper no later than July 15, 2004  to
   icenco2004@eng.cu.edu.eg . All submissions should be in Adobe Acrobat
   (.pdf), Postscript (.ps), or MS Word (.doc) format. The ICENCO
   Secretariat must receive your paper by July 15, 2004. Do not send hard
   copies of your paper. Receipt of paper submission will be confirmed by
   e-mail. The paper submissions should be approximately five pages.

   Formatting instructions are available at: Author instruction.
   Notification of acceptance will be sent via e-mail by September  15,
   2004. Final manuscripts are due by September, 30, 2004. Registration
   and final payment is due by September  5, 2004. Late registration fees
   or paper submissions will result in the papers being excluded from the
   conference proceedings.

   SUBMISSION OF TUTORIALS
   Proposals for half-day tutorials (three hours) should be submitted
   online by September 15, 2004. Tutorials are to be submitted via the
   following   icenco2004@eng.cu.edu.eg  A tutorial proposal should
   clearly indicate the topic, background knowledge expected of the
   participants, objectives, time allocations for the major course
   topics, and the qualifications of the instructor (s).

   SUBMISSION OF SPECIAL SESSIONS
   Persons wishing to organize a special session should submit a proposal
   via e-mail to  icenco2004@eng.cu.edu.eg  by September  15, 2004.
   Proposals should include a minimum of six papers, a session title, a
   list of the topics covered, and the qualifications and brief biography
   of the session organizer (s). The name of the session organizer will
   appear in the program and proceedings provided six or more papers are
   presented.

   IMPORTANT DEADLINES

   Notification of acceptance   September 15, 2004
   Camera-ready manuscripts due September 30, 2004
   Registration Deadline        Septermber 15, 2004


   Instruction to the Author


   This  part   contains  instructions  to  authors  of paper accepted to
   ICENCO 2004 conference. It covers the formatting

   guidelines for the camera-ready version of your accepted paper.
     * A  paper  should be A4 sized (210mm x 295mm or 8.5inch x 11.5inch)
       in  two  columns with top and bottom margin 25mm (1inch), left and
       right  margin  14mm (0.6 inch), column width 88mm (3.45 inch), and
       inter-column gap 5mm (0.2 inch).
     * The pages must not be numbered.
     * Paper  title  is centered. Recommended size of the title is around
       24pt.
     * Center  author  information  beneath  the  title  and print in 12-
       point, non-boldface type.
     * The normal text of the paper must be in 12pt times New Roman
     * Papers should not exceed 6 pages.

    All papers must be submitted in PDF/PS/MS-word files.
