Background and Goals
--------------------
Wireless computing is an emerging field that promises new approaches for
developing information systems that offer benefits related to flexibility
of distribution, costs, and mobility. This emerging field poses new
challenges to the research community such as faster time-to-market,
quality of wireless information, security concerns, and others.
Following the success of the first WIS 2002 in Spain, WIS 2003 in France,
and WIS 2004 in Porto, this workshop will serve as a forum for researchers
and practitioners to meet and share expertise in this emerging field.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Innovative wireless applications, protocols, and systems
- Applications for the mobile enterprise
- Middleware for wireless information systems
- Location-based wireless services
- Context-aware wireless services
- Agents for wireless information systems
- Databases for wireless information systems
- Data mining in wireless information systems
- Design techniques and tools for wireless information systems
- Mobile commerce
- QoS for wireless data services
- Wireless information architectures
- Wireless security and privacy
- Papers on related topics are also welcome
Format of the Workshop
----------------------
The workshop will be for two days with oral presentations, discussions,
and invited talks.
Submission of Papers
--------------------
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the areas
