FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS
IST2005 is the third in a series of biannual events organized by the
Iran Telecom Research Center (ITRC) and designed to provide
opportunity for academicians and specialists from the international
telecom community to meet their peers in Iran and to discuss under the
theme Dialog of Civilizations through Telecommunications the latest
developments in emerging technologies, progress in standards, services
and their applications in information and telecommunication systems.
The symposium will feature world-renowned keynote speakers,
contributed papers, panels, special sessions, tutorials and an
exhibition. Also, the event will feature a banquet, concert, visits
and excursion tours to historic sites.

SUBMISSIONS
Papers:
Authors are requested to submit extended summary (about 500 words) of
their original work by April 10, 2005. All papers should be written in
English and submitted electronically in MS Word or PDF format
mentioning the above category number(s). Arrival of the proposals will
be acknowledged by e-mail. Each submission will be subjected to review
by the Technical Program Committee and the result will be informed by
the assigned deadline. The final paper submission shall be typed
single-spaced in two-column format using Times New Roman font size 10
with 3cm margin on all sides. Length is limited between 4-6 pages.
Submissions should include: title, author(s), affiliation(s),
abstract, and keywords. The name, position, mailing address, phone and
fax numbers, and e-mail address of the author responsible for
correspondence, should be identified. An accepted paper must be
presented by one of the authors and all presenting authors must
register in the Symposium.
Tutorials:
Tutorial proposals on subjects describing new developments in systems,
technologies or applications are welcomed. Length should be tailored
for half-day or full-day presentation using power-point or overhead
projector slides. Supplementary handouts or brochures are encouraged.
Exhibition Proposals:
There will be limited exhibition space for exhibitors of latest
innovations in ICT. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of their
practicality, relevance and priority.
