CFP : 4th Asian International Mobile Computing Conference (AMOC 2006) ***************************************************************** Call for Papers The 4th Asian International Mobile Computing Conference (AMOC 2006) January 04 - January 07, 2006 Kolkata, India ***************************************************************** Asian International Mobile Computing Conference provides an international forum for researchers and industry practitioners to meet and share their new ideas. Following the success of the first (AMOC 2000 in Penang, Malaysia), second conference (AMOC 2002 in Langkawi, Malaysia) and the third conference (AMOC 2004 in Bangkok, Thailand), the fourth conference will be held at Kolkata, India and will be organized by Jadavpur University as a pioneering activity under the UGC Scheme "Universities with Potential for Excellence". This event is dedicated to addressing the challenges in the areas of mobile computing and networking. This highly selective, single-track conference serves as the premier forum addressing networks, systems, algorithms, and applications that support the symbiosis of mobile computers and wireless networks. AMOC 2006 aims to bring together participants from universities and industries in the field of mobile computing and communications from all over the world. Papers Authors are invited to submit full papers presenting new research work related to the theory or practice of mobile computing and communications. All submissions must describe original results that are not published. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: * Architectures, protocols, and algorithms to cope with mobility, limited bandwidth, or intermittent connectivity * Applications and services for mobile users * Distributed systems aspects of mobile computing * Mobile ad hoc and wireless sensor networks * Performance of mobile and wireless networks and systems * Wireless multimedia systems * Mobile computing on Grid * Algorithms and protocols for power management and control * Implementations and experimental mobile systems * Integration and internetworking of wired and wireless networks * Modeling and simulation aspects of mobile networks * Middleware support for mobile computing and networking * Security, privacy, and fault-tolerance of mobile/wireless systems * Service creation and management environments for mobile/wireless systems * Database and data management issues in mobile computing The program committee will referee all papers. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Submission Instructions Papers must be no longer than 10 pages with font size not smaller than 10 points, and must fit properly on U.S. letter-sized paper (8.5x11 inches) with reasonable margins. All paper submissions will be handled electronically. Papers are to be submitted to samiranc@ieee.org. Detailed instructions for the paper submission procedure and format will be available on the conference web page at www.cmccju.org/amoc2006.html. Tutorial This conference is a unique combination of contributed papers and key speeches. Tutorial sessions are meant to be particularly beneficial to the general student community as well as aspiring researchers. Tutorials are expected to bring out state of the art survey of mobile technology as well as important research output.
